Bergrettungsdienst im AVS
The Bergrettungsdienst im AVS provides rescue services for people and animals in distress and in need of help in the alpine and difficult-to-access areas of South Tyrol. In accordance with the mandate of the South Tyrolean government, this is done by the more than 1,000 members of our 35 mountain rescue stations.
The service must be guaranteed 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, around the clock. This mission is carried out in close collaboration with the Corpo Nazionale Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico, which has the same purpose in South Tyrol.
